This dance craze stirred up such a raucous from the world's teen, that the adults in many towns attempted to have it banned. I, for one, am glad that they were not successful! In an article written by Mickey Meece in the New York Times, it is stated that women in the workplace are responsible for 40% of workplace bullying & violence..."The women appear to prefer their own kind, choosing other women as targets more than 70 percent of the time." The backlash seems to be increasing in the face of the downturned economy. The abuse can be as subtle as sabotage of work projects or as brazen as a full blown 'dressing down' in front of colleagues. Here's more on these bullies that make coming to work like walking into the proverbial Hell.
Wouldn't you think that we had enough demons to fight. Nothing more nastier than in-fighting! The bullies need to be mandated to Yoga and meditation classes.

I'm not too in {luv} with the size of the models in these shots {far too thin for my taste} but I must admit that they are just the right pick for the clothing. Which, by the way, I will gladly take one of each. This would include the accessories as well. How ultra feminine {*sigh}. The Way I See It...

Have you ever awakened, after an otherwise pleasant night's slumber, to a blah self-image? For some reason, the hair that is usually glowing, thick and healthy seems limp, dry and unmanageable. The sun-kissed skin that is usually radiant, clear and subtle seems dry, wrinkled and lifeless.

Well this was me this morning...definitely. So with my head down and in the "funk" cloud, I gathered up my work-out gear in a attempt to dispose of the "ugly duckling blues". One hour spinning class & a one hour power yoga class, later...

Voile' ! The old me again...that self assured, confident, ready for the world beauty emerged.

today the weather was unbelievably warm...now this is what i can live with. so i took advantage of this deliciously warm afternoon by spending some time in a nearby country store restaurant. although i find the food in this eatery very light and pleasing to the palette, the real attraction is the retail store that hosts loads of 'old school' yummies at 'throw back' prices. here's a sneak peek: the view from the ground...the ceiling offers a great history lesson in machinery & equipment.

counter deliciousness!!! one of everything for me...please. remember milk duds, the large and very sweet lollips?

peppermint sticks, more lollipop goodness, gum balls, candied necklaces.... all at 'throw back' prices and payable with "plaid stamps". ring up three of each

there were plenty of goodies for the garden, bath & body products, again, at 'throw back' prices. one bunny and three of sets of the b&b products in the cart

every country store has handmade quilts...i'll take two for the upcoming winter, thank you

candles, candles, candles...even then, they knew the benefits of aromatherapy...put at least a half dozen of these in the cart, please

1. Apparently there's some sort of fascination with reality shows {as if ones own life is not filled with enough 'reality'...go figure}.

2. Every day should be a sunny day.

3. 2009 has been THE year for Susan Boyle ... so far.

4. As soon as I finished my first game of Wii tennis, I knew that I was hooked... that was it!

5. For too long I've been I've been putting off learning to line dance.

It's raining hearts! So it's way past Valentine's Day, but I was thinking...wouldn't it be great if, when we are being especially down on ourselves , that we could remind ourselves of how especially {LUV}'ed we are, simply by opening an umbrella that overflows with hearts?!

# 2 ~~~APRIL SHOWERS...couldn't wait for the cold stillness of winter to rare its last blustery head because I know that it is the perfect preparation for Spring's wet, refreshing & revitalizing rebirth!

#3~~~CUPCAKES:: i {heart} the magic of these little mini cakes. Just like their sheetcake sized cousins, they bring a smile to one's face...always!

#4~~~Long leisurely phone conversations with my friends...'nough said :-)

#5~~~Reruns of Sex & The City...can't get enough of the 'girlfriend' vibe, and of course, the shoes

#6~~~New episodes of the Deadliest Catch...this work is definitely for men {and I am not a chauvenist!}

#7~~~awakening to a beautiful sunrise #8~~~Old Alfred Hitchcock movies enjoyed with a bag of microwaved popcorn, curled up in my favorite comfortable 'slipper' chair. {blankets included}

Bubbles bottle, drops bottle, tray bottle, reflection bottle and spring bottle: 5 exceptional creations presenting the tremendous savoir-faire of Baccarat artisans'.

These thirst quenching gems were auctioned off earlier this week in support of a much championed charity of Evian. I can't begin to imagine what the final price was for each bottle.
If the price of the Jean Paul Gaultier "Prêt-à-Porter" 2009 Limited Edition Bottle of Evian is the barometer, then one has to question if we are truly in a recession.

And here's my {other} question:: do I drink the water or store it on a shelf with all of the other 'handle with care' vintage liquids?

My first question?...what economically stable person buys this stuff?
